NB: Fay Pomerance was of Anglo-Jewish descent, born in Birmingham in 1912. She studied at Birmingham Central School of Art and Design and in 1936 became a full time painter, exploring themes of Religion, war and genocide. Her work is held in major private and public collections in the UK and abroad.
