Whether you are collecting in person, would like to use our delivery service, or need carrier advice, our staff are always happy to assist.
All collections will take place from Reeman Dansie, No. 8 Wyncolls Road, Severalls Business Park, Colchester, United Kingdom, CO4 9HU. However, if you have bought furniture in one of Fine Art & Antique Sales and have not arranged collection within the specified period following the sale, collection will be made from an off site storage facility. See below under Storage Charges for details.
Reeman Dansie are able to provide an in-house postage and packing service for UK delivery only, of small unbreakable items, ie. jewellery, watches, coins, medals etc. We do not send out fragile items and strongly recommend you use a specialist shipper for any delicate purchases.
This is a discretionary service, at your liability and is available on request. We use Royal Mail Signed For Delivery and prices start at £15.00*. (*Higher value items requiring additional compensation cover will be subject to an increased fee). Items are limited to a maximum weight of 2kg and items that would fit into a package no larger than a shoe box. Whilst we aim to dispatch within 10 days of close of sale, this cannot always be guaranteed.
If you are arranging for a courier to collect your items, you will need to book an appointment on their behalf. Please see the list below of courier companies who will be happy to assist you, we would advise that you obtain a quote for costs beforehand. You are, of course, very welcome to use an alternative courier.
We request that you pay for, and arrange a collection as soon as possible.
If you have purchased fragile lots, larger items or goods requiring overseas shipping, we can provide the details for independent shipping companies.
The shippers listed, operate independently of Reeman Dansie, so postage and packaging will need to be organised and paid directly to their team. Upon being paid, the shippers will send their team to Reeman Dansie to collect the item and organise shipping.
All collections, unless stated otherwise, will be from our Colchester auction room.
Due to the regularity of our auctions and frequent consignment of new lots, please note that furniture bought in a Fine Art & Antiques Sale, will only be held at our premises for a limited time following the auction. The date of removal will be specified on our online catalogue preceding the sale, as well as on the invoice following the sale. All items of furniture, following the specified date, will be collected by R & D Schofield Removals and stored at their off-site storage facility, six miles northeast of our saleroom, at a cost per lot of £10 + VAT and £1 per day storage thereafter.
