Condition Report
The six diamonds are estimated to weigh approximatley 1.04cts, 0.95cts, 0.55cts, 0.68cts, 0.57cts, 0.50cts. The diamonds are very bright and lively old cut stones. Estimated colour grade H/I/J. Estimated clarity SI¹/ SI².
All stones appear to be orignal to the setting.
The sapphires all have a good saturation of colour and have good clarity. Minor surface abrasions to the facets, no obvious damage or repairs.The largest sapphire measures approximatley 6.9mm x 6.2mm x 3.85mm and graduate as follows: 6.4mm x 5.5mm x 2.5mm, 5.7mm x 5.2mm x 2.9mm, 5.0mm x 5.0mm x 2.6mm, 4.8mm x 4.9mm x 3.1mm, 4.5mm x 4.2mm x 3.0mm and 4.4mm x 4.3mm x 4.0mm.
The setting appears to be in excellent orignal condition with no damage, repairs or alterations. Not hallmarked but appears to be 18ct gold. Clasp and hinge work well. Safety chain detached.

For clients unable or not wishing to attend our sale we are happy to accept absentee bids. Absentee bids can either be left in person with our office team, phoned or emailed to us. We simply require lot numbers and descriptions and the maximum bid which you wish to leave. Absentee bids are then transferred to our auction pages and the auctioneer will bid on your behalf. If the lot can be purchased at a lower price than your maximum bid our auctioneers will always endeavour to work in your interest to purchase the lot for you as cheaply as other bids will allow. If the same bid is left by two people on a lot we will precedence to the bidder who leaves the bid first.
We are happy to provide condition reports for online and absentee bidders and to supply additional photographs on any lot. We ask that condition report requests are submitted at least 24 hours prior to the sale. We are happy to accept phone bids for our Fine Art and Collectors’ sales. Phone bids may be arranged in person with our office team, by phone or by email. We simply require the lot number and details of the lots which you wish to bid on and contact phone number / numbers. Our phone bidders will call in advance of your chosen lot / lots and bid on your behalf during the sale.

Auction: East Anglian, Antiques & Fine Art, 24th Sep, 2024
We are delighted to present the illustrated catalogue for Reeman Dansie’s East Anglian, Fine Art & Antiques auction. The sale will be held over two days and will include over 1200 lots, beginning with the ceramics section: a selection of studio pottery bowls by Lucie Rie and Hans Coper start proceedings (lots 1 to 4). The rest of day one will see silver, jewellery, clocks, and watches go under the hammer: highlights include a fine Victorian sapphire and diamond hinged bangle (lot 407, £4000-6000).
The second day of the sale will start with works of art, where notable lots include a first edition volume of Macchiavelli’s The Prince (lot 803, £10,000-15,000), and an exceptionally fine album of Chinese paintings, including many topographical scenes (lot 793, £10,000-15,000). The East Anglian section of the sale will follow; with over 250 lots to be sold and many well-loved local names represented throughout, there is something for everyone on offer. Highlights include an oil on canvas portrait of a lady by Mary Beale (1632-1697) (lot 1127, £6000-10,000), and an oil on canvas landscape by Julian Trevelyan (1910-1988) (lot 903, £6000-£10,000).
The auction will conclude with furniture and rugs, including a Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson oak desk and leather desk chair (lot 1206, £2500-4000).
