If the lot can be purchased at a lower price than your maximum bid our auctioneers will always endeavour to work in your interest to purchase the lot for you as cheaply as other bids will allow. If the same bid is left by two people on a lot we will precedence to the bidder who leaves the bid first.

We are happy to provide condition reports for online and absentee bidders and to supply additional photographs on any lot. We ask that condition report requests are submitted at least 24 hours prior to the sale. (Whilst every care is taken to give an accurate condition report, we accept no responsibility for any omissions or errors in our reports. It is the buyer’s responsibility to view the lots and satisfy themselves as to their condition.)

Telephone bids must be booked by 4pm the day before the sale but can be arranged earlier, we have limited lines and certain lots can be over-subscribed for phone bidding, in such instances we conduct a first come, first served basis and we encourage clients to book well in advance or risk being disappointed.

Auction: Specialist Collectors', 3rd Dec, 2024

Our final Specialist Collectors Auction of 2024 is taking place over 3rd - 5th December 2024. It is one of the most interesting sales of the year and also one of the largest! With this in mind the bumper 3 day auction commences at the earlier than usual time of 9am each day

Tuesday 3rd December commences with 300 lots of silver, jewellery and watches. Including several lots of designer Scandinavian jewellery including David Andersen and Georg Jensen. Also featuring is a fine 18ct gold chalice commemorating the 1969 investiture of the then Prince Charles as Prince of Wales. Later in the day we auction coins, bank notes and tokens, with around 200 lots on offer including coins from the 1975 Messing Hoard. The sale then moves onto the Medals and Militaria section and features the fine collection of Imperial German Militaria belonging to the late John Keeble, with around 80 lots including helmets, pipes, steins and original posters on offer. It is a very special collection.

Wednesday 4th begins our ceramics and glassware section. As usual there is plenty of choice, with lots from leading lights such as Lalique, Moorcroft and Clarice Cliff. Later in the day ephemera and books are offered with stamps, postcards and comics also forming this diverse section. The day is rounded off with our bumper toy section, featuring many interesting vintage and antique toys for a heavy dose of nostalgia.

The final day of the sale Thursday 5th December commences with Vintage and Designer section with over 100 lots offered including leading names in the designer world. The day continues with the camera and music sections, before moving onto the miscellaneous section which features a piece of sporting history in the form of a 1921 Ashes Cricket ball presented to the then England Test Captain Johnny Douglas.  Finally the sale is rounded off with our ‘Winter Wonderland’ section featuring an electric mix of festive decorations.
