Our textiles department is overseen by our highly experienced valuer Angie Bowles and she curates a textiles subsection within our quarterly Collectors’ sales. Usually comprising around 150-250 lots, these auctions include antique and vintage costume including 20th century and contemporary pieces by leading designers including as well as bags, shoes and accessories, antique and modern fabrics and early textiles, needlework and samplers. Recent stand out prices include £3,000 paid in 2022 for a fine 19th century Suzani panel, £2,100 for a Chanel quilted handbag bag and £1,700 for two pairs of Regency dress shoes.
